I have one older rooster. He's over 10. I was hesitant about using Permethrin but this has a very low concentration, 0.25% Permethrin. I had used a sulfur compound that has worked before but the mites just got out of control. We think wild birds brought them in. I used this around his vent, legs and bedding and it didn't bother him at all. It took about 5 days and this morning the mites were gone. I believe they do recommend a second dose a week a part to break up the mite life cycle. I also used Manna Pro Poultry Protector from TSC which kills mites on contact but not the mite eggs. I sprayed this every evening around his coop and his feet. Very happy with this product and so is my rooster!

This is my go to for mites in my chicken coop. It can be put directly on the chickens too. Works well but not toxic.

I put in their dust bath area and they spend more time in it, I do like that it had no odor.

This stuff works! And works fast! Our flock encountered mites not too long ago and they were everywhere! After applying this, no more mites or any other bug!

Please beware that the product contains permethrin, which is highly toxic to cats. I have neighborhood cats visit my backyard and poop in the chicken's sandbox. Although I hate that about them, I can't bring myself to poison them now that I know what permethrin does to them. have to return this product unfortunately.

I couldn’t make it through summer without this stuff. It’s the best and longest lasting for fly control and so easy to use.

Like many here, the product seems good and good but arrived BUSTED OUT... ATTENTION to the company- Package your product better,. you'll get more stars.

This product works great for mites and fleas on my chickens, but my god, it needs to be shipped in a better container. Nothing worse than opening a package just to have toxic dust explode out. Can’t exactly return for a refund either. Really left me with half the powder I bought and no remedy.

Are use this product to actually put all my chickens from time to time to keep away any loss or mites. I also sprinkle it in the chicken house and in the nesting boxes. Works well!

We have chickens, pigeons & a pair of parakeets. We use it with all our birds. Got a new parakeet that had feather mites, one treatment they were gone. Bought product out of season. Thanks "Amazon"

I have had problems with ants in bluebird nest boxes, irritating the birds so much that they abandon the eggs. I treated the nest boxes with a tiny amount (scant 1/2 teaspoon) of this product, and sprinkled some around the posts on which the boxes are mounted (reapplied after rain), and had no issues with ants! The bluebirds have raised a successful clutch! I'm happy to help a beautiful native species!

I treat my chickens and the coop to prevent lice and mites from getting to on my poultry. I have had great luck using this product. Easy to use and very effective. As with any product of this type, I would advise wearing a mask when applying.

I used this on a trip to Africa to soak my clothes in. Since it wasn't a liquid I took it on the plane as a carry on (after a long stop at the gate to be tested for drugs). I soaked my clothes in this (permethrin) and it seemed to work great. Mosquitoes did not bother me.

Identified early-onset problem with Northern mites in henhouse recently; ordered this product immediately & it arrived within a couple of days; thoroughly cleaned the chicken coop (took all of the straw up off the floor & out of nest boxes & shop-vacuumed every nook and cranny; disposed of straw and vacuum remnants into compost bin) and washed interior of coop/nest boxes/roosts/etc. with mild laundry detergent & water in a 5-gallon bucket, slopping it onto all surfaces as best I could with a hand-held soft bristled brush; then I air dried the coop for 5 hours or so (breezy day); donned some gloves and a face mask and gently rubbed this product into as many chicken-occupied surfaces as I could and also around the window sills as well as sprinkled this poultry dust into the nest boxes under the fresh layer of clean, new straw. Also generously sprinkled this into the chickens' outdoor dust bath holes and mixed it into the dirt with a hand-hoe. Takes time to do a thorough cleaning like this, but much better resolution to mites than to use harsh chemicals that the animals have to ingest.

This powder is perfect to sprinkle in garbage cans inside and outside the house. I put it in my chicken coop, in my vegetable garden in my flower garden. Anywhere there is a line of ants I put down a small amount of dust and later just brush the dead ants up or vacuum them up. It's much less messy and less toxic than spray. It lasts a long time because you don't need much, a very practical product.
