I haven't seen Chucky candy bars for over 10 years and couldn't even remember the name. I went to Amazon and put in chocolate, peanuts and raisins candy bar. There it was. I received the box and I will be re-ordering in the new future.

One of my all time favorite chocolate candies, with peanuts and raisins. Great at room temp or chilled. Reasonably priced. Tastes fresh.
These are one of my favorite candy bars, and they arrived in perfect condition! I was really impressed by the packaging. They were packed in an insulated bag with a gel pack inside to keep them cool. The gel pack had melted/thawed by the time I received them, but it served its purpose and the candy was in perfect condition. A++
Though there was a valiant attempt with the double wrapped insulating foil and freezer pack in the package - it (the product) still could not withstand the brutal heat of a Texas summer. Luckily, these candies are individually wrapped; so an overnight stay in your fridge is recommended before eating.
The candy was delicious and fresh. Unfortunately it was delivered by USPS and sat in a hot mail box for 2 hours in the sun before I was notified it was delivered. The candy was completely melted down. I refrigerated it and was able to peel it off the foil wrapper to eat. Definitely will not order again until winter/fall or an overnight delivery iced delivery.
CHUNKY CHOCOLATE BARS may have retained their logo and name, but that's about it. Gone is the shape, ingredients, price and quality of the base ingredient: chocolate. Where does this leave us? Let me count the ways.First and foremost, this new concoction has nothing to do with the original. Gone are the Brazil nuts and Cashews--which have been replaced with peanuts. The "Sun-ripened Raisins" are still here, but that's about all that remains of the original formula. It is impossible to comment on the actual chocolate which, in all fairness was never more than an RCA/Ormandy string section devoid of its delectable woodwinds and understated brass. All we are left with is an overpriced generic candy bar devoid of its pedigree-or even a respectable place in today's POP traffic.In conclusion, CHUNKY'S 21st century re-make is neither nostalgic nor authentic. The Penny candy store beyond the EL is where I once fell in love with unreality--Jelly beans glowed in the semi-doom of that September afternoon. Those days, along with Bonomo Turkish Taffy and Oh Boy gum are the stuff of geriatric dreams. Let it Be. Let it go.
