Not the classic 3 ingredient Pumpernickel, but still a very good bread. Nice and dense, strong rye flavor.
The bread is great. The company is great. However Amazon delivery was not. The item was broken into pieces when it arrived from rough handling. Thank you.
Too sour tasting for me. I couldn’t taste any molasses at all just the most dense sour dough tasting bread. I guess my fond memories of pumpernickel bread doesn’t ring true with their version.
This is not the traditional Westphalian pumpernickel that I was raised on. First it is not as dense. Second, it is not as dark. But, because it is my only option. It was OK.
The pumpkin knuckle bread was good, but mine came expired a month expired and it had a funny taste. I will try buying again a little pricey for a small loaf.
Great shelf life in fridge. Best brand I’ve ever found for toast “my way”. Texture cold great for snacks, Lov the taste.

Toasted was magnificent
The first pumpernickel bread I tried from this company. The taste was sweet and the texture was chewy. It is better toasted. It is a good whole grain bread.
It's a bit crumbly and the pumpernickel taste isn't very strong, but it's good toasted with a little butter. I'm satisfied. Would buy again.

Very dense and not dry at all. I prefer it toasted and buttered AFTER it cools. The texture is pleasant, the taste is complex.
Extremely healthy, dense bread. Great flavor. Use to be in stores? You can freeze it. It is pricey which is bothersome as I eat it up so fast. It does come from Germany and is the good stuff. Discount for multiple loafs would be a nice gimme. It does come in a square and cocktail size. Wish they would offer that in the future. We make schmecken sandwiches using a variety of toppings. Amazon... check into this more and offer more sizes. Thank you. It is a filling bread not air puffed.
