This is one of the best sauces. If you like Asia foods, you are going need this. It is strong, so use it sparingly.

I was skeptical about this due to the manufacturing and label differences from what I've become use to seeing.However, the taste is what I expected.The pricing is a little higher but I guess it's worth being able to even locate for an easy delivery.
Maggi Seasoning is excellent for everything from soup, beans, salad dressings, or anything needing an umami boost. It is better than Worcestershire sauce in most dishes. I have been in the hanit of buying the small bottles, so when I saw the large bottle on line, I was delighted. I finally found a right size bottle for my needs.
Giant bottle lasts a long time! Can't find this locally so was pleased to find it on Amazon at a great price.Bear in mind this has gluten in it, so probably not got for gluten-free eaters, but can't deny it tastes quite unlike anything else I've ever tasted. It's brown like soy sauce but it's not soy sauce.Very delicious & salty. Nevertheless, I use this sparingly (mostly add to soup, broth or meat dishes that are too bland). This really livens up a dish!
I ordered this for my Mother-in-Law who is German. She loves this for all of her cooking. Some reviewers felt that there was a big difference between this product and the one made in Germany. My Mother-in-Law felt there was no difference and loves it.
If you haven't ever cooked with this product, you should give it a try. I was introduced to it by a friend from Germany, wher it has been produced and used for decades. It is a soy-based liquid with a smoky, meaty flavor. It adds an interesting flavor to gravies, sauces, etc and I have even used it as a salad dressing. You just use a few shakes.It does contain MSG so if you can't tolerate that preservative, then don't use it.
My favorite go-to seasoning. I was so glad to find it in the large size! I refill my smaller bottles with this; and share it with my son and his family. I use this in everything. I was raised on this in Switzerland; and now I share my recipies with my grown children. Glad to see international flavors are accessible in the USA!
This is a much better substitute for soy sauce. I learned about this years ago from an Asian employee who said the soy sauce here tasted rancid to her. So I started using this too and it's excellent. I've had visitors use it without seeing the container and they commented how good it was not realizing it wasn't soy.
