These brought so much joy to my grandma. She is 93 and this is by far her favorite candy. They bring her back to when she was a good. Worth every penny.

Have been using Licorette for about 12 years and love these. Use in place of mints.What I am not loving is the price increase. Used to be $22 for a 12 pack.Now $28? Thats a big increase!I just ordered at that price but not thrilled.

We found these make a good, satisfying snack to ward off the urges to want fatty or sugary snacks. We have reordered this product multiple times and never received stale or otherwise bad product.

I really like these--a lot. I'm watching carbs and you wouldn't believe how many carbs you can get from mints! I found these at World Market the other day. I liked them so much I came home and ordered a box on Amazon. I think they are ridiculously expensive for what they are....but when you don't want to eat carbs, then you have to pay the piper.I don't get the gassy effect others have noted. Not in the least...and I have eaten an entire box in a half hour or so. I love that a box has 25 calories, 10 carbs and 10 fiber!I'm looking for other low carb mints/candies and I had no idea just how hard a task that would be. So right now, I will pay the ransom!

The only thing to watch out for is that some pricing is adequate, others high, and others confiscatory. At least one listing on Amazon prices the Licorette at $15 per box, which works out to $273/pound. Others are at $25-30, though some charge $12-20 in shipping, which is also something to watch out for. If you can get it between $25-30 with free shipping for 12 boxes (1 case), i'd advise going for it.That said, assuming you can find it at a reasonable price (most retailers in brick & mortar stores price at $2-$2.50) You won't find anything better, I'd rather have these than any other sugar free licorice, and most sugared ones as well.

I absolutely love these licorice flavored pastilles! The flavor/taste is amazing - medium/bold, just sweet enough, hands down one of my favorite candy. Unfortunately, the product is sugar-free and it does contain sorbitol (sugar alcohol) - it causes a lot of people (like myself) issues - i.e. bloating, cause, among other lower GI issues. The box indicates that the product contains 44% sorbitol; which is 11 grams in the entire box / 2.2 grams per 5 gram serving (7 pieces). The product also contains Acesulfame-K which is an artificial sweetener. I've done a little research and there's really not a lot of info on this sweetener. The consumer group Center for Science in the Public Interest believes that studies on this sweetener were poorly done and that they didn't test its potential cancer-causing risks. However, I am not sure how credible and/or accurate this reporting body/research group is (just relaying what I was able to find).
