Best hot chocolate mix!!! LOVE this.

Over hyped. For the price I expected rich chocolate flavor. There's the bitterness of dark chocolate that leaves an aftertaste. Not very sweet, and not very chocolaty. I was not impressed at all. I even added an extra tablespoon to the milk after tasting that it wasnt rich enough nor sweet enough. It just isn't worth the money.

My recipient liked hot chocolate and I perused the options on Amazon and other websites. I have ordered Lake Champlain Chocolates in the past and knew they were delicious so I decided to try their hot chocolate as a gift. The feed back I received was that she liked the hot chocolate a lot, so I would order again.

I love finding my favorite foods on Amazon. I no longer live in the NorthEast, but being able to have a wonderful cup of hot cocoa is always the goal. No need to add sugar, this hot chocolate mix is perfectly chocolatey and sweet.

I use it for hot chocolate but you can also add it to cookies/cakes when baking

This doesn't taste like Swiss miss or the like. But I like the more rich chocolate taste with it. I have only used it with heated milk as it says on the container.It was picked as the best hot chocolate from one of my cooking recipe sites that is attached to a magazine. I agree with them on their selection.

This is my absolute favorite hot chocolate mix. I have tried numerous hot chocolate mixes over the years and I'm very picky and this is my favorite. I do like a very chocolatey mix where you can really taste the chocolate and this delivers. It dissolves very easily in the milk and is so delicious. Since I prefer a richer more chocolatey flavor, I add more mix into mine. But when I make it for my partner I have less mix because he likes a less chocolatey flavor. So I like that it has versatility for both of us. I love to make it and dip cookies in it which is also quite yummy. You can also add some marshmallows on the top for some nice flavor. Also as weird as it sounds, I have to take daily collagen powder and I mix it into my hot chocolate. The collagen powder is unflavored and you don't taste it at all in the hot chocolate. I have found that if I ordered this or buy this at my local whole foods it is cheaper than ordering directly off of Amazon. I highly recommend this!

...realized that an "acquired taste" is just fancy talk for "absolutely disgusting". I'm giving the company the benefit of the doubt here. I'm a nice guy. Mostly anyway. This hot cocoa just isn't for me. I like my Hot Chocolate to taste like actual chocolate, not bland brown water from a mop bucket. And believe me, I really tried. One scoop, then two, then three, then ten. Still, just no hint of chocolate anywhere.But we're all different and we all have different tastes. And I can't speak for everyone. I can only speak for myself. A lot of people live by this stuff. I'm just not one of them.I'm still giving a four star review. Because I'm nice. Mostly.

My wife and I discovered Lake Champlain hot chocolate mix when we stopped into a Burlington, VT retail shop on a blustery day. Loved it in the store, so we were delighted to find it on Amazon. Easy to make at home, very rich and creamy flavor, and it instantly transports us back to that fun visit to Burlington.

This product contains only sugar and cocoa. It's great to add to coffee or whatever type of milk you prefer. It has a good flavor and mixes easily. However, if you are looking for a mix where you just add water, you'll be disappointed.

I was on a search for organic hot cocoa mix since finding out I was pregnant in September. I am not much of a coffee drinker but I would drink hot cocoa during the colder months. I read reviews online about this product and decided to give it a try. It is pricey than most hot cocoa on the market but it is organic with limited ingredients which I was looking for and it tastes really good! 1 can lasted me almost 2 months with me almost drinking it daily. I love that it is certified organic and has 0 sodium! It tastes really good with milk. I will be purchasing this as my go to hot cocoa from now on.

We’ve been using Starbucks cocoa for a long time. It came time to buy a new Coco and I saw some of the lake Champlain reviews and thought I’d give it a chance. Immediately I noticed how much more easily it blended. Although I was skeptical about the rave reviews of the chocolate taste. I have to say it’s very very good. I mix it in with my oat milk and have a delicious cup of hot cocoa with zero dairy involved! If I use my Silk high-protein oat milk, I also have hot cocoa with a lot of protein.

Works Great For Baking Too. I read, for lower oxalate chocolate cake, use a hot cocoa mix, with sugar as the first ingredient. I used a few teaspoons of this, along with coffee, substituted for water… and some chocolate extract, to make a lower oxalate, chocolate cake.(I believe the source was on a celiac disease website and the article was written by an expert on low oxalates baking. “Try Low Oxalates TLO” group.) the article was from celiac . Com.I used a gluten free, garbanzo bean flour, and It turned out pretty good.My husband likes it in his coffee, and says it blends well.I must admit, I ordered it by mistake and tried to cancel it…but I was too late. I did not think I would be able to use it, since I thought I was reacting to oxalates. Amazon could not do a return, I was going to donate it… then I found that article, when I was trying to figure out what to eat.There is soo much confusion and conflicting information on low oxalate diets; but from what I read, this could be an option to use for baking.I like that it is made with Organic and fair trade ingredients. My husband likes the flavor.

You know something is going on when someone who usually reaches for a Remy Martin in the evening opts out instead for a hot chocolate. Especially since that someone never even liked hot chocolate to begin with.This is the best hot chocolate I've bought. The flavor is amazing, the Aztec spicy is amazing as well. Definitely worth the try if you like the first one. I went to their website, Amazon is a little cheaper. The price is a bit crazy, but I liked it so much that I buy one before the previous one finishes. I have served it to guests who have wowwed over it. It is high calorie of course, if you can get yourself to follow their directions, which involves putting a lot more hot chocolate in a tiny amount of milk, then you will get amazing results. I feel guilty about so much sugar, and so sometimes I make it a little more dilute. The richer the milk is the better it will taste. Not always a good idea for health reasons. I give my kids sparingly because of the high sugar rush.If you can afford it, highly recommend.

This is a pretty good hot chocolate. It has a nice rich flavor without being super sweet like swiss-miss or others. I generally make it vanilla soy milk and a shot of an adult beverage. I heat it on the stove and just as the milk begins to steam I add some cardamom and a dash of kosher salt. I have the hot chocolate mix ready in a cup and pour the spiced milk over the mix. Then I stir...Pros:- Sweet enough for a kid to enjoy- Full bodied enough for an adult to enjoyCons:- Tends to clump. Doesn't mix as well as other brands. I pour the milk over the mix. IT clumps worse if you add the mix to the milk.- Flavor isn't as good as other brands like "greene & black"I probably won't buy this again. It isn't bad, but I only tried it because I was looking for a cheaper alternative to greene & black hot chocolate mix. I prefer the rich flavor of the greene & black. The G&B also mixes better so you don't get unpleasant residue at the bottom of the cup..
