I have been using this soap for many years now and really like it. It doesn't have the usual (artificial) fragrances that you find in most soaps, is very mild, and neither my spouse or myself have found it to be very drying to the skin. Compared to most organic and animal-friendly (as in not tested on them) soap bars, it's also very reasonably priced. I have been able to find it in my local grocery store, though, and pay a lot less than anywhere on the internet ($0.79 per bar at Kroger). It's worth looking around a little - but if you can't find it, this is probably the next best price that I've seen.

Love this soap!!!This soap leaves you feeling clean and fresh smelling. However this soap is package incorrect. The photo and name does not match what I recieved. This is not the coco one. This is the original coconut oil scent. I want the “ coco “ scent.I love the soap but I dont want this particular one.

No more itchy scalp! Yay!I had been using custom hair care...itchy scalp. I have been interested in historical hair care and so I did some research about what they washed their hair with. So I found this soap...basically the most basic soap there is, and I just went for it. I am so thankful for finding this! I don't think I'll ever go back to regular shampoo. It works well for body too, but I mainly use it for shampoo. I am just here to say do not listen to everyone in the hair industry! This works so well and my scalp feels so clean! I also oil my hair before washing as a way of making sure it won't dry out.I also would like to mention that the price is so good for the amount you get! Way better than shampoos that supposedly work better than soap...which I now do not agree with.I also only have to wash my hair twice a week with this.Thank you! I have already purchased this multiple times!

Kirk's Castile bar soap cleans the skin very well. But in the recent year or so I haven't been able to use it anymore. The soap makes my skin very itchy when I dry off.
Soap is strong yet gentle and can be used by most skin types. Great consistent quality, and a very competitive price.

This is the best pure soap with many uses. We even use it to wash our hair. The bar soap lasts forever and I also make it into a liquid soap very easily. If you are looking for a soap that is pure, non irritating, with lots of lather and a great gentle smell, buy the Kirk's Original Coco Castile brand.
My search for the perfect soap is completely over! Kirks Original Castile Soap is the best you can buy! I truly do not care for wacky body soaps with scents. They never seem to get your skin clean.Several friends kept telling me that this was the best however no one around here sells it so I was never able to try it. I just happened upon it in Cracker Barrel and picked up a bar.Oh my! The lather was unbelievable! The scent was clean and not overpowering! My skin felt nourished and clean! I even washed my hair with it and it left a clean shine to my hair. It was an answer to a prayer years in the making from a search for the perfect soap. No more will I buy anything else!If you buy this by the case unwrap each bar and store them in you linen closet. The longer soap sits out to "dry" the longer it lasts. Most soap is milled and used too quickly to properly dry. It will make your closet smell fresh plus the soap will properly dry and cure. Dry soap will last several more months than soap that is not dry.Do yourself a favor and start using this soap! Some people even make their laundry soap with Kirks Original Castile Soap.
