I love Jack's beans -- at least the ones that are not from China. These are not from China; they are grown in USA and processed and packaged in Italy. They are easy to bring with me when I travel, and easy to use at home or away. The package is easy to open -- but I find it necessary to fold the top of the flap down tightly to sort of break the surface before tearing -- kind of like you might do when you fold paper back and forth to tear a straight line.

We have used Jack’s beans - black, cannellini and butter - for many years. Great flavor and packaging makes storage easier.

I usually love this product and so do my dogs. This time however the beans were less cooked and tasted bland like there was "no" sodium rather than "low" sodium. I had to cook them for 20 minutes more and add salt. Has the recipe changed?

These large, tasty butter beans are easy to fix, low in sodium, with excellent fiber (9g) and protein(5g) per serving (about 1/2 cup). Excellent taste and so good for the body.

Tastes just like the beans my mom made using only the dry beans and water, and cooked 2h until soupy. What a treat for adults that grew up poor, like me. I don't get the one saying it tastes like turpentine. Not my experience. Did they get a bad batch? Smells like beans. Tastes like beans. What is it?

Arrived quickly and was packaged well.These are so delicious and taste fresh. I sautéed vegetables including potatoes and mixed the garbanzo beans with quinoa and it was amazing!Trying to do more vegetarian dishes for the health benefits, but want good tasting and filling foods.Will be buying more.

I first tried Jacks when I had the Purple Carrot subscription. I dont think I had ever had such flavor FULL beans! They are so versatile, filling and delicious. Once I had them in that subscription, Ive been a fan since. It's more affordable to purchase on their website, but I cant ever seem to catch it available. Otherwise, it's 10 Bucks more here. Check their website first.

These things taste bad out of the carton, but they absorb seasoning wonderfully and are delicious with a few basic seasonings, especially garlic and salt.So far, I've been heating a single carton of them at a time with seasoning, then mashing it with a mini-masher (kinda hard to find, but very useful), to make a chunky "spread" of "dip" consistency. From there, I can add veggie broth to make a soup, and then add other veggies to cook, but I've just been eating it plain and chunky with olive oil for now as a quick snack. Someday I will eat them unmashed (and I will add baking soda to soften them, because they need it), and eat them with pickled onions, which is my favorite way to make lima (butter) beans!!!These are a good product, though, and I highly recommend them to anyone and I also highly recommend to the seller that the price is brought down.

We LOVE these beans so much that we've subscribed to have them delivered regularly. Yes, Jack's Beans are more costly than most locally purchased beans, but they're a great quality product. And these Borlottis are a real value compared to most Jack's Beans prices. We buy other easy-to-find bean flavors locally, but these unique beans beat out the locally available ones in both their large size and their succulent taste. Similar to pinto beans but better. And they fill our bean serving cups to the brim! PS: This is my independent opinion, and not a solicited reply.

UPDATE below... Jacks Organic Pinto Beans - I've purchased these many times and have come back to purchase more many times. They are organic - in boxes (not cans). Tasty, easy and shelf stable. Mostly I've received cases that are good a year or so out. In my opinion they are reasonably priced, high quality and low sodium.  Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. I use them up before the year is up for sure. Love them all. NO cans -They are boxed. Try them. I regularly purchase Jack's organic beans of all kinds. I like they are boxed and not canned. They are really good quality. I am repeat customer and will continue to be. I don’t buy beans in a can if I can help it. I love all of jacks beans in a box and order them in this case of 8. It’s a really good price and the taste is perfect. Often the manufacture is out so I come to Amazon and the grocer distributer who ships them has outstanding customer service. ( I once got 2 of the same bean. Went to amazon site, told them what happened and Jules from grocer sent me a message, apologized and shipped me a new one in less than a week.) Awesome- thanks Jules! Will order from them every time if the price is right.
