Sticks with me

This is the only cereal that I can eat that sticks with me until lunch and beyond. A recipe from the Bible has to be good!

Healthiest cereal we've found

This cereal is incredible if you're looking for truly healthy cereal. It's made from sprouted grains, so it has no flour. It has no sugar and no saturated or trans fat. It has the consistency of Grape Nuts, but isn't quite so hard to chew. It's fairly high in protein and fiber. We love this cereal mixed in with Greek yogurt, protein powder, and berries.

Outstanding, healthy cereal

This is an excellent cereal, and after you develop a taste for it is very enjoyable. I typically fill my bowl 2/3 Ezekiel and 1/3 raisin bran (with half a banana) to add some sweetness and texture. I've had the best bowel movements of my life since I've been eating this cereal regularly at breakfast. I also buy the golden flax cereal as well.

Tastes great. Fairly hard/crunchy.

This is organic, and tastes great. Be aware it's a fairly hard, so you aren't surprised (That's supposed to be better for straight teeth I hear )

Delicious and on-plan for THM

Sprouted grain, and a crunchy texture that holds up to almond or regular milk.

I love this cereal!

My local grocery store stopped selling this (at outrageous $11/box) and I was lucky to find it here! I eat this stuff daily with my full fat, blended yoghurt so it helps bring my snack back to healthy-ish...I love the crunch and quality ingredients. No sugary chocolatey anything here. Just wholesome goodness.

Crunchy and Crumbly

Healthful product, but it's much like Grape Nuts. If you like crunchy with cold milk, you'll like this. It can be heated and softened too. Kinda gets all over if you keep it in the original bag within the box. I elected to put it into plastic zip bags to prevent spills.

Wonderful, Healthy Cereal

I have loved the Ezekiel brand of Cereals for many years. When I purchase through Amazon, it is a wonderful experience. The cereal is fresh and shipped well / securely.

Price has gone too high

The cereal is healthy and keeps blood sugar and energy steady. You won't feel any "crash" after eating it. At $9.37 a box ($56.26/6) or $9.44 (59 cents per oz. x 16 oz.), it's gotten too expensive for me. I'll make healthy granola with organic oats, nuts and seeds -- just as healthy for half or less than half the price.

Great food for Type 2 Diabetes

This is really good tasting and healthy cereal. I use unsweetened/unflavored almond milk and it tastes great! Some people believe one must give up breads and cereals if diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, but that is not true. Whole or sprouted grains can be eaten… especially if you pair it with a healthy protein or healthy fat, because it slows the break down of carbs into sugar so you dont get the rapid rise in blood sugar. Ive been using diet to control my T2D and it works!

Excellent source of clean protein, amino acids and fiber

A friend of mine who is a health nut and certified personal trainer recommended this cereal to me since I need more protein intake and amino acids before and after working out in the gym. He makes protein bars using this cereal and they taste incredibly good. I got his recipe and tried it myself once I got my order. The only thing I did different was add honey to give it some kind of sweetness. I'll list the steps at the bottom of this review for those interested. The cereal boxes came packed tightly within a box and placed in an Amazon shipping box with bubble packing. Shipping and delivery were fast and the box arrived undamaged. The expiration date on each box was listed as December 4, 2013 which is more than enough time for me to consume the 6 boxes of cereal. I normally do not eat cereal since the majority of other brands are packed with sugar and other unhealthy additions. This cereal is great with cold unsweetened coconut milk and bananas. I also add more sliced almonds to give it more flavor and texture. As for the protein bars, they came out amazingly well. The mixture might not look good as you're prepping but after leaving them overnight in the fridge to absorb the moisture and settle it made the batch look much better in the morning. IMO they look more like brownies. Recipe is as follows:2 Cups of Ezekiel sprouted grains cereal4 Scoops of "Sun Warrior" Chocolate Protein (this is an organic powdered whey protein)1 cup of mixed nuts, almonds, walnuts & hazel nuts2 tablespoons of cocoa powder (unsweetened)4 tablespoons of chunky peanut butter2 cups of coconut milk (unsweetened)1/4 cup of honeyCombine all dry ingredients in big mixing bowl and mix. Once you have a uniform mixture add the coconut milk, peanut butter and honey. Continue mixing until it becomes a paste.Spread the paste into a 9×13 inch pan lined with wax paper leaving a 2 inch overhang of paper on 2 edges so you can easily take them out of the pan once they are settled. Refrigerate overnight for best results. Cut into bars with a pizza cutter and remove bars by pulling from the wax paper overhang first to remove them easier.Enjoy. :)Update 5-15-13: I also add a 1/4 cup of Trader Joe's chia seeds to the mix for added protien, fiber and Omega 3's. They sell for $14 here on Amazon but cost $7 at Trader Joe's. Chia seeds details below:6g of Fiber per Serving2.9g Omega-3 per Serving3g Protein per Serving6g of Fiber per Serving5.3oz a bag

Stop the sugar madness

Of course, my testimony here is going to be just anecdotal evidence, but about 6 months ago I changed my diet to reflect that of what is outlined in the books "Healthy at 100" (John Robbins) and "The China Study" (T. Colin Campbell), both of which advocate a high-complex-carb, low-fat, low-protein (yes I said low-protein - against the grain of all the low-carb craze diets) diet full of whole grains, vegetables and fruits with relatively no added sugars, oils or fats. When you start removing all this extra nonsense sugar from the SAD (Standard American Diet) it tastes a little bland at the beginning, but that is only because we have been eating so unnaturally for so long. After a little while you come to appreciate the subtle flavors of the grains, and also come to appreciate the natural sweetness and taste of other fresh fruits and vegetables. (Last week I tried a bit of some Frozt thing from Starbucks that my wife ordered and nearly choked - it was so cloyingly sweet.) This is a great cereal - thanks Ezekiel!

Best cereal on the market, and only one with a complete protein nutrition

This cereal is surprisingly delicious. I love most of Food for Life's products, but this cereal takes the cake. If you are into nutrition and exercise, and you love eating cereal with milk in the morning, go with this brand. It has a complete protein system, what else could you ask for? I hope to see more options for a complete protein cereal on the market in the future to see how my expectations can change, but I don't see any other brand competing for some time. Although, having a five star review on Amazon will encourage competitors to step up and deliver the quality food people deserve, but there may not be huge profit margins in it for them, so we'll see. It is a niche market, but the company is delivering properly. I love their bread too, but the cereal wins! P.S. Get the Almond because the raisins in the Raisin are sort of stale, and the flax seed in the Flax is not ground up, so you don't get the real nutritional value. With Almond you get the value of the nuts. I just add some fresh ground flax in there myself and enjoy!
