I like how it tastes and how it is mixed with other matching ingredients. It doesn’t have too many calories so this is ideal for a light snack.
Taste was just okay
I have had this before so I know it taste great but through Amazon I got something else.
Tastes delicious, and it's very healthy.
This is a good meal without cooling or heating. I intend to stock it repeatedly.
Taste is GREAT! a healthy and fast way to get a good meal. I wonder if I could make something similar for less money though.
I knocked my rating down one star because they don’t use extra virgin olive oil which would make this a healthier choice. This is my new go to for a quick lunch. It pairs perfectly with rice and fills me up with yummy goodness and it makes me happy!
Tasty, but not very much…unless you are into portion control and don’t mind paying more than $5 a can. Read the ingredients. “Wild Planet” my foot. Why not whip together your own batch by using whatever canned beans and corn you wish…dump it all in a strainer to drain off excess liquid, toss in some salsa from a jar and stir. Then save the mix, subsequently using as much as you want (refrigerating the rest) and adding a half can of your favorite Albacore tuna.
This has got to be one of the very best quick snacks or small meals available in the US. Of course, if you don’t like tuna, then you won’t like this, but if you do, it’s a winner. Three variances all slightly different and enough to make a good variety When I was on the diet and trying to eat fast. I had one of these for lunch every day for 60 days and I never got bored with it.
It's Wild Planet so you know it's going to be good.I use one with a little organic Spring mix salad and some raw salad veggies for a quick dinner when I am in a rush or don't feel like cooking.Wild Planet Tuna is about the best tuna on the market I have come across lately. Like canned tuna used to be once upon a time.🙄Every product I have tried of this brand ROCKS
Lovely mix of tuna, beans and veggies. Has a hint of spice. Packed in a bit of oil, but not a lot. As someone wanting to increase my B12 consumption, but not make big batches of tuna salad, this is perfect for me. I eat it at room temp. Amazon's is a great price. Would be easy to toss in a tote or backpack for folks who are commuting.
As a tuna hater, I was surprisingly impressed by this. Especially pleased by the flavor and texture. Also, the easily peeled can and packed down meat made it very convenient to eat on the go or in my room. Arthritic hands were able to handle it.
I started buying these at Whole Foods and I absolutely love them. So I snagged a four pack on here, but I was bummed to find out that these ones are made with sunflower oil while the ones at WF are with olive oil (which is so much better for you). Curious if these are old, OR if they just make a less better option to sell cheaper on here.
I love Wild Planet. It is delicious on its own...the tuna perfectly seasoned with a fine olive oil, the kidney beans firm as is the corn. But as good as it is on its own, I love to add a 7 oz package of Barilla Pasta (any premade pasta will do), then add Rao's pesto (2 to 4 tbsps, and again choose your own pesto brand) some Chili Roasted Pistachios (yummy, yummy) topped off with a decent amount of shaved Parmesan Reggiano and boom just like that you have a good meal. I often take this to work. "Nuke" the pasta with the company microwave and toss all the ingredients in a bowl and instead of settling for a boring lunch meal, I have a meal packed with nutrition that is also inviting. This is just my little recipe. But I'm sure there are many other ways to be creative with Wild Planet Tuna. What recipes have you come up with. Maybe make an egg/tuna salad with the white bean variety...oh yeah! And careful harvesting of tuna means a lot to me. So Wild Planet is a win win.
I got these for my husband who is diabetic and is watching his weight. He needs quick and easy lunches that are not bad for him. He eats several different tuna bowls, pouches, meal kits (he loves tuna 💕) and while all have been good, there is a big difference when you taste the tuna in these entrees. The tuna are line caught and are very high quality. He said that they even “fresh” coming from a shelf stable item.He eats them as is or mixes some more frozen veggies in the bowl and microwaves. The tuna mix can make a great quesadilla or if you need more carbs in the meal, pour it over rice and you have a great lunch or supper in front of you. I guess pasta would work well too.I admit that these tuna packs are significantly more expensive than others on the market. But if you like tuna and are looking for quality and sustainability, then this product is for you!
Kind of a good idea, but way too expensive for its size—and too oily and too peppery. Yes, I realize there is something to be paid for convenience. But this inspired me, like I imagine it has for many others, to just make my own. Use good quality tuna or sardines, vary among all matter of great beans or lentils, use a reasonable amount of oil, control the salt, control the spices. Kitchen + Love products are also expensive, but I find them better executed. These pre-prepared, "healthy" meals is a valid and I expect quite attractive market, Hope to see more efforts from other companies. And In did I say expensive.
The older I get, the less I like to cook, lol. And I’m trying to get a bit more fish and beans into my diet. I first tried a can of these from my local Fresh Market. I enjoyed it so much I came to Amazon to order more. It’s a bit pricey but I love the organic veg and sustainably caught tuna. It makes a tasty and simple meal straight from the can. I enjoy both this flavor and the white bean flavor. I just get a fork and eat it straight from the can. It’s not perfect of course. It’s a little more oily than I would prefer, and a bit higher in sodium as well, though not so much that I can’t incorporate it into my diet. A nice little bit of protein and fiber.
I've eaten this right from the can, out of the bowl with chopped zucchini, added, and, on the recommendation of someone else who gave a review here, used it straight from the can with pepper, jack cheese, added, and made an extremely tasty quesadilla. This is excellent for lunch, or even a light supper. It is surprisingly filling and very good! I know it's a little pricey, but what you were getting is quality ingredients high in protein and relatively low in calories. I've had the red been salad, which is what I used for the quesadilla, the pasta tuna salad, and the tuna salad with quinoa. All are very good. They're also good to have on hand for times when you can't get to the store or are you simply don't feel like cooking. I generally buy a four pack of each variety and keep them in my cupboard. Highly recommended!
There's nothing I don't like about these. I keep a few at work to eat when I want a "lazy" lunch. People complain about the price, but they need to understand that this is a combination of responsibly harvested tuna and organic beans and vegetables. So for less than $4 you are getting a super healthy, filling, clean meal. What I also love is that there is no garlic - since I am sensitive to it. I always feel satisfied after eating one of these and energetically great. Note that it does have a little spice (like mild level) - so if you can't tolerate any spice at all you may not like it. But for me it is a 10 out of 10!
